Kendrick Lamar – M.A.A.D. City (Eprom Remix)
Portland’s own Eprom has made the cliche electronic remix of a hip op joint fun again. His version is unlike anything you have ever heard before. It combines serious bass with the playful chiptune sounds to create one hell of a remix. This is just one of the many fascinating sounds that Eprom is creating on a monthly basis. Pools – Picture Featuring Rebecca Romary (James Deen Remix)
An absolutely stunning remix from James Deen of one of my new favorite artists. I first heard Pools during their set at our Turntable.FM Spring Chikns Festival. Pools are “two schoolboys” from Melborn Australia that produce some of the chillest beats in the Southern Hemisphere. The remix has a nice combination of the sweet vocals of Rebecca Romary and the haunted distorted vocal undertones. The reverb is so lush you just want to curl up with it. The slight glitch in the beats adds another level of intrigue. Between these two artists you will have plenty of beats to explore and enjoy.
