It seems like I have been on a bit of a remix kick. I promise this one is the last remix I will post up here for a bit. Remixing Phoenix into “turbofunk” seems like a daunting task. Actually one minute into the remix i was not impressed. Then the sound distorts as if you just got dipped into a pool of remix goodness. When you come up gasping for air, Reset! hits you with turbofunk….
Its nice to see that Little Boots is back in relevancy again. It seems like she was completely off the map for a while. Her new single “Shake” is getting some very nice remix work. This version by Crazy P is a relaxed disco rework that highlights her sweet vocals. She even put together a long overdue mixtape in conjunction with the new single.
Its crazy the evolution of dance music. The first time I heard this song by Caesars I fell in love. I actually had to hit up the wikipedia page to find out how long ago that was. I know I had an astalwerks cd compilation and not a tape… So that narrow things down a bit. I was still in college so that helps… 2002! Wow time flies. If I were to hear this remix by Sawgood back then I would of not believe that music could evolve in such a raw and utterly violent way. Neither of those are a jab at dubstep but you got to admit the remix is a very far departure from the original. I digress. I love them both. Enjoy
