Zeds Dead is BACK

I just started running again. Unfortunately I can only run for about 20 minutes before my legs give out. Enter Zeds Dead new Mix to help in the process. Its 20 minutes of hyper fueled Dubstep. The track selection range from House, Pop, Funk, Reggae influenced Dubstep presented in one hell of a furious mix. The only drawback is Rob Da Bank interruption half way through (to mispronounce the bands name) and him fading out one of the sickest tracks of 2012 “unda yuh skirt” (Zeds Dead Remix of MC Muvado).

Mad Decent Podcast #69 Zeds Dead

MDWWR #69 ZEDS DEAD by Mad Decent

I’ll be honest, I have relied on Mad Decent for insight into what is new and fresh ever since I started getting into Diplo a half a decade ago. Those guys are right on the money most of the time. When I saw that they chose Zeds Dead for their latest rounds of live mixes, I was very pleased. This duo has been on my radar for about six months now.

Zeds Dead is a Dubstep dropping tag team from Toronto composed of DC and Hooks. They have been producing music together since 2004 and preforming live since 2009. Just recently I posted their latest single Coffee Break up here on the blog. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, it is well worth a few minutes of your time.

They bookend this mixtape with two mood setting hip hop tracks. I especially like the nod to Nate Dog by finishing with Regulators. The 35 minutes in between are filled with all generas, speeds, and flavors of Dubstep. They aren’t afraid to pack this mix with tons of their own production work which ensures that this mix will be a hit.

If you like what you hear come listen to them live in Atlanta on Friday October 14th 2011. They will be shaking the floor and rattling the walls at The Loft.
